Search for A Nonprofit

  1. Sign in to guidestar.org

  2. Search GuideStar

  3. Choose a nonprofit from search results to view a nonprofit profile

NEW: 990EZ Data is Now Available

990EZ data is now available on Pro profile pages. This includes mission, program, principal officer, people and financial data from all available years of e-filed 990EZ data. Please note, the data for 990EZs that are not e-filed will not be available on guidestar.org.

Compare and Identify Current and Prospective Nonprofit Partners and Clients

Compare up to 5 organizations side-by-side with GuideStar Pro’s Peer Analysis feature.

  1. Search GuideStar to find organizations to compare.

  2. Choose Add To Peer Analysis next to the organization name in your search results.

  3. Add up to 5 organizations.

  4. Choose Tools from the gray toolbar (on the right side of the page).

  5. Choose View Peer Analysis to view key financial trends and ratios for the peer comparison you selected.

Verify An Organization's Eligibility

With GuideStar Charity Check built into GuideStar Pro easily verify an organization's eligibility to accept tax-deductible contributions.

  1. Search Guidestar to find organizations to compare.

  2. Select a nonprofit profile.

  3. Open the dropdown menu next to GuideStar Charity Check (located on the right side of the page).

  4. Select View Charity Check Summary Report or View Full Charity Check Report (PDF)

Review Annual Financial Trends

View a side-by-side snapshot of a nonprofit organization over 5 years. 

  • Please note: This feature is only available for organization's that file a 990 (not a 990EZ, 990PF, or a 990-N).

  1. Search Guidestar to find organizations to compare.

  2. Select a nonprofit profile.

  3. Choose Financials in the navigation toolbar or scroll down to Financial data.

  4. Choose Financial Trends Analysis to view a side-by-side snapshot of a nonprofit organization over 5 years.
